Armed Man Robs Kearny Mesa Sex Shop

A bearded thief armed with a gun robbed a Kearny Mesa sex shop Wednesday. The bandit, a roughly 6-foot man who appeared to be in his mid-30s, entered the F Street Bookstore in the 7800 block Balboa Avenue shortly before 10:30 a.m., pulled a pistol on a clerk and demanded cash, according to San Diego police.

Toppled tree crushes cars in downtown La Jolla

KSBW Local News — Wed Feb 02 19:11:00 UTC 2011 SAN DIEGO — A giant eucalyptus tree toppled in downtown La Jolla Wednesday, crushing parked cars and narrowly missing a shopper. The tree, which was about 100 feet tall, came crashing down in the 7700 block of Girard Street shortly before 10 a.m.

CHP: Woman hit by car in Sabre Springs dies
